IM Ramnath Bhuvanesh (2364) who hails from Chennai, India is in Malaysia for a week prior to participating in the Bangkok Open. Ramnath, 23 years became an IM 6 years ago when he was 17 having earned his IM norms in UAE, India and Brunei. Presently, he is competing to earn his third and final GM norm having secured his 2 GM norms from events in Russia and UAE,
